About

Welcome to Banned Bibliophile, a blog built on the love of books!

Banned Bibliophile was started by two sisters with a voracious appetite for reading. Formerly known as Knightingale Reviews, we decided to recreate our platform, provide posts of higher quality, and dedicate more of our time to reviewing the great material we've been receiving.
We hope to take you along on this exciting new chapter in our lives as we create new content and explore the ever-growing realm of stories!

Meet the Reviewers

Bailey the Banned Bibliophile:

I am currently a student studying Library and Information Science and have an amazing job working in a library. I am an avid reader, anime fanatic, and self proclaimed shut-in. If I'm not over my head in schoolwork or at a library, I can be found in an overstuffed chair lost in a world formed by my imagination sprung from words scrawled across pages.

Christian the Curious Quill:

I am a recent college graduate who is hoping to finally sit down and read the many review books that have been piling up (yes I feel extremely terrible that I am so behind). When I don't have a book in hand, I love to watch anime, write silly stories, and dabble in various creative endeavors such as traditional media, digital art, repurposing old books, and many unsuccessful DIY projects.

Disclosure

All books are received through the library, our own purchases, contests, authors, and publishers. We do not receive any compensation for the reviews that we write. All books that we receive are in exchange for both a fair and honest review.

Bloodspell by Lily Luchesi

Reviewer: The Banned Bibliophile Received: Author Release Date: August 2018 Moons: 4.5/5 Goodreads Summary: Bound by an ancient prophecy, freed by love. Mages have lived by a prophecy that states that once there are two mage houses left, one must kill the other to maintain a magical balance.  But the prophecy is disrupted when a new mage is revealed and begins killing everyone in his path.  Simon Moonspell and Tobias Bloodworth, the last two mages of the ancient houses, must put their animosity aside in order to stop this new mage and fulfill the prophecy.  However, when their hatred slowly turns to love, can they remain impartial or will they be forced to battle to the death? My Thoughts: "...if he knew anything, it’s that peace was an illusion and happiness was a fleeting bird you had to catch with your bare hands. It would cut and scratch and claw, not wanting to be captured, but well worth it when it had been grasped." ~Bloodspell This is e...
